Raspberry Pi as a HTPC

Postby KeroroGunso » January 10th, 2018, 11:15 am

So, I got the son a Raspberry Pi kit for Christmas. I never played with one before, but, I thought it would be a cool project for us.

Well, it wasn't so much a project as just follow the steps, hit click and bam, a sweet little retro gaming station. It took a bit of configuring, not a lot. The biggest issue is, the Recall box didn't like the SSID of his mothers wifi. Brought it to my place and it connected, then I was able to dump the ROMs to the Pi.

Pretty cool and really easy... but this got me thinking about using one as a HTPC. The PC I was using for that is dead and I miss having Kodi and Exodus. Is anyone using a Pi for this? Does it work well? Since I have a 2TB IDE HDD filed with ripped movies, how the heck can I get that integrated into it?

Anyone with experience in this realm, please offer your advice.
