Re: PODCAST: Rando Rob 0050 – Z64 Console Copier for N64
Between the controller and the introduction of the 3D platforming genre, I don't think I ever played a N64 game I liked.

Re: New Video: BRV003
Like a lot of things, YouTube is very "gamified." Views and likes and subscribers are like points and high scores. Shorts get a lot of views and sometimes a few subscribers; they're kind of like a loss leader but I'll be honest, shorts seem like a young man's game. Videos, "they"...

Re: BLOG: Morgan’s Senior Prom
I didn't have any older siblings or friends to guide me through the pitfalls of high school dating. I didn't have much self confidence in that arena until I was a senior, so I spent the previous three years being friends with girls whom I was too afraid to ask out, and got my feelings hurt when othe...

Re: New Video: BRV003
hee hee. I did a similar gag in one of the previous videos where I walked through the same door four times in a row, each time carrying something for the van. I'll never be Buster Keaton or the Three Stooges, but I like tossing a gag or two in there. I actually thought about not even calling it out,...

Re: BLOG: Morgan’s Senior Prom
I dated two girls my senior year and broke up with both of them months before the date of the prom. Six of us from my journalism class decided to go as a big group. After plans were made and tickets were purchased, two of the six decided to go as a couple instead of part of our group, and one decide...

Re: New Video: BRV003
So far, I've been erring on the side of caution. In this latest video there's a 10-20 second shot of me opening the swivel seat box and removing the wood planks that were attached to them. In reality, those shots were like 15-20 minutes long. Like, opening those boxes was an ORDEAL, and then removin...

Sadly, most of mine have stopped working over the years -- a combination of cheap capacitors and old drive belts.

Aw man, thanks -- I'm glad the effort was appreciated. It literally took me about 16 hours to go from "directory full of video clips" to the video I uploaded. I'm working on streamlining my editing process -- I've got to do something to make it a little easier without losing quality.

Re: PODCAST: Rando Rob 0102 – Metal Space Invaders
I designed and 3D printed a Berzerk robot. I had a master plan that involved 3D printing 8 bit sprites then painting and selling them. I don't have enough free time to tie my own shoes at the moment, much less run a 3D printing business.

Yeah, there are all kinds of things you can do with graphic files, from hiding text in EXIF data to actually doing stuff with the pictures themselves. Like most things I think of, other people have already done it before I thought of it, and better than I could have. https://stylesuxx.github.io/steg...

Re: BLOG: My Third Sleep Study
It's like sleeping in a hotel if someone from the hotel hooks up 20 wires to your face and body and then watches you sleep all night with cameras. That being said, it's a small price to pay for access to a CPAP. I love my machine -- it helps me sleep so well.

I wish I had seen him live way back then.
I remember going to Photon laser tag when I was 14 or 15 and there was some buy who went by Dead Puppies and I thought that was such a weird nickname. In retrospect I'm sure he was a Dr. Demento listener.

Re: PODCAST: Sprite Castle 081: Zaxxon
The arcade version was way more difficult than the home ports. I think the other night when I streamed I "beat" Zaxxon on my third or fourth try. I'm not sure I ever blew up Zaxxon in the arcade version.

Re: BigRobsVan: Playing with Power: The Imuto 1,036Wh/1,000 Watt Battery
After only six months, the battery has stopped working. It's supposed to have a three year warranty (or five year, depending on which part of the Amazon ad you believe) but either way, it should be covered. I have tried emailing the company and contacting the woman who I was dealing with on Instagra...

Re: PODCAST: Rando Rob 0031 – Commodore 16 and +4
I don't remember if I mention it in the episode but I first saw the C16 in a magazine and I thought it was the most awesome looking computer ever. Years after the C16 was discontinued, I tried finding a used or dead one so that I could swap my C64 into the black case. (The fact that the case was inc...

The only problem with the C16 is that none of the software and 99% of the hardware isn't compatible. And also it sucks. At least it looked cool.

Re: BLOG: Fitbit Says It’s Time for a $300 Rebate!
I will one up you. A couple of years ago I saw this little robotic "pet" on Amazon that looked like fun, so I ended up getting it. It's probably 4" cubed and looks like a cross between a dog and a tank. It's super cute and the "face" is touch sensitive so when you pet it or ...

Re: BLOG: Fitbit Says It’s Time for a $300 Rebate!
The average American has about a 1% chance of dying in a car crash in their lifetime. I feel like 0.005% of my watch killing me isn't bad. The last time I had surgery they made me sign something that said I could die from the anesthesia. Life's all about risks!

Also, I try really hard not to poop on businesses, especially locally owned businesses, but I couldn't find anything in the gift store to purchase. They had bobbleheads of Buck Atom for $35 and hats with their logo on them for the same price. I probably should have bought a hat or something to suppo...

Ah, that's great!! I love how he almost looks like Alfred E. Neuman. It's funny that I've seen so many of these over the years and never knew that they had a common thread. I have always enjoyed things that were tiny and things that were oversized. I loved standing at the foot of that statue, just l...
