When I heard the title I thought you were talking about a different garage sale.

Re: PODCAST: Multiple Sadness 010: Naked Space

I remember watching this on HBO and thinking that it was a B movie, filler. Now I guess I was right. Thank you for validating. There wss another Leslie Neilson B movie about the same time, Repossessed, a parody of the Excorcist. Can you put that into the hopper?

Re: YDKF Episode 199: McDonald’s

Anyone ever try their spaghetti? I think it lasted about a year and was terrible. Back when I worked there we used to make the best (non-menu) stuff for ourselves. Get that breakfast burrito mix and roll it up in a really thin pancake or make deep-fried biscuits, stuff like that. I think the holding...

I have to go through my Group II swag and see what antiques I saved. Have you ever seen any of the training films they showed to new workers?

This device sounds like what the smart phone did to the GPS and the Palm Pilot and the pager and the phone dialer. Makes you want to box up all the hardware into totes.

I swear, Rob could talk about the inner workings of a vacuum cleaner and he could make it utterly fascinating. I don't exactly know how he does it but keep on doing it! I listened to this episode twice ( so far)

Re: YDKF Episode 194: Crossroads Mall

I watched some of the Crossroads mall Youtube videos after listening to the episode and I will agree it was getting sketchy there. Too bad, it looks like it was a fun place to hang out. There was Irondequoit mall in upstate that suffered the same fate. They built it all nice nice in 1990 and it clos...

Re: Sprite Castle 049: Jeopardy

God, I remember seeing Weird Al and Dr. Demento in concert when Another One Rides The Bus was just making it big, or at least as big as it was gonna get. My mom had to drive us to the club. Dr. Demento actually refrained from playing some R rated songs because we were in the audience. https://i.post...

You can hear how much fun you two are having going down that particular memory lane. I bet you could do a six hour show and not run out of interesting stuff to talk about.

Re: Sprite Castle 047: Sammy Lightfoot

Thank you for playing the Zeppelin and the Kung Fu clips! I haven't heard those in thirty years. Where does the time go... I remember playing Sammy for thirty seconds and turning it off then going back to Pirates. Sammy Lightfoot sort of reminded me of Dark Tower, and I didn't get along with either ...

Re: YDKF Episode 191: Bicycles

I remember when I saw my first Mongoose with mags. I had moved up to 10 speeds by then but it definitely turned my head, and everyone else's. This was well before E.T. came out. Everyone I know had a Schwinn Sting Ray (nobody's parents could afford a Krate, besides it would have just got stolen). If...

There must have been only three levels of Loderunner on my C64 copy because that's the farthest I was ever able to go before the joystick hit the monitor in frustration. This is one of those games that I had a love/hate relationship.

Re: YDKF Episode 188: Karate

There was a guy at work who was a brown belt, and pretty humble about it. I went with him to his dojo one time to see what it was all about. Pretty intense, definitely not my cup of tea. I did help out by holding a hand pad at shoulder height so he could do the multiple-moving-target kick thing. A m...

Re: The Terminator 1984

The only part about the movie that got to me, took me out of the move, was the cheesy robot GUI that the T-100 uses. It's funny how the future looks exactly like 1984 technology. When the building manager asked if he's got a dead cat in there and the terminator selects his answer from a list that bl...

Thank you for watching this for us. I probably would have left the theater like the others at the showing you mentioned. The first and only time I saw this was on laserdisc at a friend's house. Funny how I don't remember half of the movie. I forgot Brian Dennehy was sheriff Dick. I pretty much tuned out when the plot got unrealistic. And yes, everybody had those stupid survival knives. I remember seeing them on the co...
