Re: Audiobook
ACX handles all the distribution and money collection and they (all parties involved) keep 60% of the profits and you get to keep 40%. You can also sign a non-exclusive deal with them, at which point you only get to keep 25% of the profits. hahah, those truckling fucking leeches. Well, of course th...

Re: Episode 127: BASIC Programming
I've told Flack this before, but I think BASIC did set me back. I think it has more to do with a certain personality type. Or the way I add new information into my brain, maybe. I needed subsequent languages to "prove" their worth to me, but if I am thinking of how much easier something wa...

Re: Episode 134: The OK Krackers
I always wanted to learn that stuff. How come they don't teach that in grade school? Every kid in school should get an introduction to programming in Assembly. In my opinion!! I mean, it's not going to click with a lot of them. But think of all the time wasted in grade school or high school. You co...

Yeah, I enjoyed it as well. Am I crazy or was it around a half hour in length?

Re: Unfocused.
Well, I liked your anthology idea. It is something that could be knocked out in two or three nights, yeah? And then, boom, you started off 2013 with a finished project.

Re: Podcast Ideas
I got off to a bad start with the podcast this year (my first one was released in April), but I trying to keep the ball rolling so I am already working on the next one which I decided will be about Mr. Moonpie and Mr. Codfish. If you don't know who these two characters are, you will soon. The good ...

Re: Spreading the Word?
I'll make a post on KLOV about your podcast so you don't have to.
That being said, there's no concept of post count on rec.arcade games collecting (whatever it is) so you could put a post there. (People do still read it, even if nobody posts there.)

WELCOME TO YOUR PERSONAL CACHE OF PAIN AND SUFFERING O'HARA
If you do end up getting that disk on-line and want me to "cut" the source audio files up for the text game episode or "post-process" them or "increase gain" or whatever, I'd be happy to do so. I know we riffed on Tdarcos (a poster on Jolt Country) for a while so the op...

Re: Commodork
But. But! Your experience with Commodork, while awesome, drives home the fact that having an audience for your blog is really clutch, otherwise you are at the mercy of benefactors who do have that mindshare to promote things for you. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I mean, that's the way it is, ...

Re: Commodork
I must say I've had much better luck with Mac and Linux sites over the last couple of days. (Nikos Chantziaras wrote an updated Hugo interpreter for Mac, Linux and Windows called Hugor so he could play Cryptozookeeper with full graphics and sound, and that has been instrumental. The previous Mac and...

What did you do to promote Commodork? There was your website, sure, and probably some forums that you posted on. What were your experiences trying to get the world to notice it?

KICK ASS! And if you need "pickups" because we kept telling Tdarcos stories over the opener, let me know. We can do a new opening.

Re: Hanger 22
Looking forward to this! I am glad that it won the poll. Did my vote get counted in the poll? If it didn't, I would like to say that Hanger 22 kicked ayyyyusss without people even filling out the voting form right (me)
