This is the 'sweat equity' part of a big project, doing all the things that you know need to get finished but are really labor intensive and tedious.

So is it a scam? It reminds me of the Phantom console. I bet Mr. Elio got in too deep too fast and he just wasn't savvy enough to understand what it takes to really build cars. Hell, even Henry Ford was a better mechanic than a businessman.

Re: BLOG: Our Five-Year-Old Hot Water Heater Broke
Heh, the same article says to...drain and flush out your water heater yearly. There should be a holiday for that. A National Flush out day where millions of people go to their basements and open petcocks. Even if there was such a day I wouldn't do it, I'm not not that religious THE PLUMBING PROTESTA...

Re: BLOG: Our Five-Year-Old Hot Water Heater Broke
To prevent the tank from rusting or your heater element from corroding, the brilliant plumbers and chemists of long ago created a sacrificial rod for the water heater tank. The idea was that the anode rod would corrode first, leaving the metal of the tank (and element if you have an electric water ...

Re: BLOG: Our Five-Year-Old Hot Water Heater Broke
We could all switch over to the tankless style of water heaters, except that they are twice the price and more difficult to install. Until the industry fixes those two things we all have to suffer with 100 year old technology

This is one of my favorite C64 games, although I never played on anything other than novice mode and I always played the same course. I didn't know there were dongles for any Commodore copy protection, I always thought they were either look up a word in the manual or some weird disk speed thing. Q: ...

Yep! Even mowing the lawn has temperature parameters any more. Too cold or too hot? It can wait a week.

There was a quote, back in the 90s, I can't remember it verbatim ( no google) but iw along the lines of: in the future there won't be a category of computer crimes, all crimes will be computer crimes.
Basically saying that computers will be involved in everything, just like special effects.

Ghostbusters 2 trading cards
I didn't know these even existed, but then, I never thought about it either. I suppose there's trading cards for most movies, with the exception of 50 Shdes of Gray. When I was a kid The Six Million Dollar Man trading cards were the 'in' thing. ( six million bucks won't buy you a decent fighter plan...

It's hearing stuff like this that makes the O'Hara coolness factor go off the charts.
Quick show of hands, everyone. How many other grandmothers have sent shrunken heads in the mail?
I seriously believe that is a unique occurrence in the history of the world.
